The Tale of a Scratch on the Little Finger… Print E-mail
Monday, 25 June 2007

A client recently had a small scratch on the tip of his little finger. He cleaned it and put on a plaster but the next morning there was a small amount of yellow pus at the finger tip. He did a little first aid, lanced it, cleaned it and dressed it again. The next morning he had difficulty getting out of bed but managed to crawl in agonizing pain to the toilet. You will not believe what happend next,

His wife then managed to half carry him to a car and off to Hospital. By the time he reached the hospital his kidneys had failed! He was put on Dialysis and tests were done. He had SEPTICEMIA caused by a Strepocotal infection. Worse was to come, the organism got into his heart and began to grow a culture on one of his heart valves. This caused bleeding in his heart cavity. Extremely strong antibiotics killed off the organism and he is now on the slow road to recovery. Hospital Bill - 100,000 dhs Who needs Medical Cover? It is about to be law in the UAE but I don't think you should get cover for that reason alone. Call us today for a quote!
